Did You Read That Our PM ‘lied’ About Financial Outlook On Malaysiakini?

I read on Malaysiakini that Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has been accused of lying about the 2009 financial outlook for the country and Malaysians are warned to brace for the worst.

‘Fellow citizens, don’t listen to the Badawi regime’s fairy tales. Prepare for the worst and the worst is yet to come,’ warns Mathias Chang, Dr. M’s ex-aide.

Both hubby and i have been discussing this issue for months. It’s apparent that Badawi caused an inflation when he raised the price of petrol drastically to Rm2.70/ltr back in June. As a result, price of almost every single product escalated. Cost of living shot up overnight. Our Ringgit is depreciating by the day and yet, we still read that our economy is good, the stock market is stable, we can withstand the global economic downturn, we have enough jobs for retrenched workers from neighboring countries, lies, more lies, blatant lies…. ptuiii.

How can the average citizen survive when their take home pay can no longer cover their monthly expenses. And to lower EPF contributions by a few percentage is a real joke. C’mon, gimme a break. What can an extra 60 bucks or so for the average wage earners do to help? With the extra money in the pocket, dont forget it’s also taxable. So, did they tell you how much more you have to pay in terms of taxes if you were to contribute only 8% to your EPF? Geee… my math is bad, dont ask me to calculate. I dont pay taxes :p

In a way, no matter how unpatriotic you say i am, i’m just glad that i dont work for Ringgit. Let the Ringgit float against the US dollar. The higher it goes, the happier i become. I’m now getting Rm3.58 for every USD1 that i make online. I’m just waiting for the day it surpasses the Rm3.8 mark, when it was pegged way back in 1998 when the market crashed. Will it happen? I dont know. I HOPE SO!!!! Go ahead and hate me. With some chimps leading the country, Like Hell I Care.

Today’s 25th November. Come next month, the whole world will celebrate Christmas. have you starting your Festive shopping yet. I was out yesterday and the malls are still as boring as ever. No signs of them putting up Christmas decorations. No music, no Christmas Carols, nothing. I know the economy isnt all that well, but come on. You need to give shoppers that shopping mood so that they will buy more. I didnt buy anything the other day as i was in a hurry to go pick my kid up from daycare. Maybe this weekend. Hope i get some good deals.

My 5 year old has outgrown most of his clothes and i have to buy him some. As for my 2 year old, he wants more toy cars. I was just telling hubby that i cant seem to locate most of the toy cars we bought him a couple of months ago. He must have thrown them into the trashbin out of mischief and we didnt get to rummage through it before it was taken outside. I was talking to a friend just now when she told me she bought her kid some mickey mouse cars. She says those Mega Brands toys are of good quality.

I saw Pixar’s Tipping Tractor set and fell in love with it. It’ll make a great Christmas present for my 2 year old. I dont know what my 5 year old wants for Christmas. For the past few weeks, Maxis 3g signals has been weak at my area. I only see Edge signals on my N82 most of the time. Loading image rich web pages takes ages. HATE IT!!! Forget about watching TVB drama series on my N82 without wifi. On Edge, can wait till my hairs turn white, lolol. I wanted to watch When Easterly Showers Fall On The Sunny West ep 21 & 22 streaming just now when i was out. Too bad, i’m only getting Edge signals. Oh nevermind. I’m now watching The Gem Of Life 27 online since i’m back home now. Maxis, you’d better buckle up. If not, i’m going over to Celcom :p

Las Vegas Season 5

I finished updating my blogs for the weekend and as it’s a Sunday tomorrow, i want to take the day off. There’s nothing much to do and i went and watch Las Vegas Season 4 online from my pc. I love that show. Wonder why Nikki Cox and James Caan is no longer appearing in Las Vegas Season 5. To have Tom Sellect as the new Montecito owner sure’s very diffecrent and i dont feel home with him. I think if not for Josh Duhamel and Molly Sims, nobody would want to watch Las Vegas Season 5. Have you been to the real Las Vegas before? It’s one of the most exciting place to go to, you know. I’d love to go there one day. Maybe i should stop watching Las Vegas Season 4 and go to bed now. Geee…. hope i dont dream of those Las Vegas Shows, lol.

Have you seen the Blackberry Storm? I read somewhere that you can actually “click” on the screen and feel it. Huh. This is the first touchscreen phone ever produced by Blackberry. But not the first touchscreen phone that i’ve used.

How different can the Blackberry Storm be compared to other touchscreen phones like the Apple iPhone. It’s supposed to be its rival. I’d love to get my hand on the Blackberry Storm and see what the “click” they are talking about, lol.

Do You Eat A Lot WHen Stressed?

I dont understand my girlfriends half the time. I wonder why they must stuff their face full whenever they are stressed or unhappy. Why must they vent all their frustration by eating so much food. At the end of the day, their body suffer and as a consequence, they will resort to taking orovo diet pills to lose weight. Just why cant they control their emotions and do something else instead of eating and eating and eating.Dont get me wrong here, I have nothing against food and i love to eat too. But to eatand then pop diet pills is not something that i want to do. Even when stressed…. sorry.
