The ever rising cost of living is making life difficult for a lot of people. Though price of fuel is back to normal, electrical tariff isnt. Both manufacturers and suppliers are using this to increase their prices. This has been happening since June. Though our Government has urged retailers to lower prices, i dont see it happening in the near future unless electrical tariff is lowered. Then, there will be no more excuse. Talking of electrical tariff alone, my monthly bill has increased by more than 30% and i have to fork out 500 bucks each month just to pay for electricity usage.

I have a friend who runs a truck delivery service. Ever since the fuel price hike back in June, his business has suffered a lot. Coupled with the electrical tariff hike, he has to take drastoc measures just so to cut down on unnecessary expenses to keep the business running. Even though his business has slowed down a lot, he was surprised to find out that mileage on his delivery trucks has gone up. He suspects some of his drivers may be using the company trucks for their own personal gains.

After consulting with his partners, they have agreed to install gps tracking devices to every single truck that they own so that they know where their drivers during working hours. Every single truck is tracked and if any driver is caught doing side business on company’s time and expenses, they will nbe sacked. I know it sounds like a harsh penalty, but what to do. If i’m in the bosses’ position, i think i may have done just that. If you are running a truck delivery sevice, you may also want to look into this.
