When i was little, i used to take my mom’s jewelry box out to play. Of course, i can only do that when she’s not around. She doesnt have diamonds nor expensive jewelry as we are not rich folks. Her most precious piece of jewelry is a strand of pearls given to her when she married my dad. It’s a very beautiful piece of jewelry. I dare not open the clasp as i’m afraid i might break it. God knows what will happen to me should that happens. Hey, i was only a kids then, you know.

Anyway, that was such a long time ago. She still has the pearls, but no longer wears it. To date, i still wonder of she’ll give it to me next time. I do have some jewelry like diamonds and gold, but not pearls. I remembered the time when i place the strand of pearls right at my neck and admire my reflection in the mirror. Oh, pearls are so beautiful. Christmas is just round the corner.
