Is Ademco a reliable home security system?

It’s really not easy to find a reliable home security system these days. My sis installed one at her new house recently. She complains that each time there’s a thunderstorm, the alarm will sound. This is very irritating as not only it gives off a false alarm, the neighborhood police is also notified as it has a built-in auto-dialer. She says she’s going to uninstall it and send it back to the store for a refund. Her friend is using one called ademco and she wants to try it out. Anyone using Ademco here? I want some feedback quick.
