I no longer enjoy reading the newspaper anymore these days. I see news of tragic and horrific accidents nearly every single day. News like these are on the front page always. my heart goes out to those who’ve lost their loved ones to those horrific accidents. It was not too long ago that a friend of mine learned that her son died on the highway. His dad bought him a new car for his 18th birthday after he passed his driver’s license. He handed him the keys on his birthday party and he took the car out for a spin.

A truck jumped the road divider and rammed straight into his car. The wreckage was so horrible that firefighters took more than three hours just to free him from his car. It was not his fault at at that he got killed. It turned out that the driver did not take the usual route to his final destination. He was doing some private work on his company’s time and claiming extra for it. Too bad he was unfamiliar with this route and had difficulty negotiating the bend where the accident took place. That’s the reason why the driver jumped the divider.

Now, this wouldnt happen if the truck company had GPS tracking devices installed in their fleet of vehicles. It is a hardware and web software-based vehicle tracking product, a technical leader in the GPS tracking field. It’s not expensive and companies will be able to track every single one of their vehicles and know what their drivers are doing. This will reduce the number of highway and drivers will be more careful knowing that they are being tracked.
