Dreaming of France

During my younger days when i was still single and working in the big city, i used to travel a lot whenever i have a long stretch of holidays. I would get a partner to go with me, and together, we’ll choose the destination, book the tickets, apck our bags and head to the airport without having to give much thought to anything else.

Things are so different now. Traveling with two kids is a totally different ball game. Do you know how much there is to pack up for a vacation for four. It’s a lot to pack. I’ve not been anywhere since they came. Though Valentine’s day is over, hubby told me when he’s free, he’ll take me to France for a month long holiday. He’ll rent a holiday property in the charming Aquitaine area of France, which is located on the Atlantic Coast and the Bay of Biscay.

My hubby is a wine lover and he say we can experience wine-tasting in Girone and Bordeaux. or if i like, we can explore the stylish Biarritz from a private apartment. Both sounds like a dream vacation to me. But i cant bear to leave my kids behind. And if we take them along, i doubt if we can enjoy a romantic vacation together. Sigh…. if only i can turn back the clock….
