Why no word count feature in Blogger?

The one feature that i wish free Blogger has is word count. Wordpress dot com has it and i dont see any reason why Blogger omits this useful feature out. Cmon, i’m sure everyone wants to know how many words they have written, right. Especially when one write paidposts and word count is important to advertisers. I hate to copy and paste it into Words to see how many words my post contains. I hope Blogger will add this feature in their next upgrade.
