How to free up O2 Zinc memory

I was wondering why in the world is my O2’s battery draining so fast. Unlike my N73, where i can just click on the menu a few seconds and it’ll display a list of my running applications. I can then turn them off to free up memory for other applications. I have a feeling that i have lots of applications running in the background that i’m not aware of and that it’s eating up all the juice.
I finally found out how to access the those running application and turn them off to free up more memory now. Not that the O2 comes with lots of internal memory in the first place and i need as much as possible so that the phone wont hang. It’s actually a horrible thing when you see the battery meter heading west soon after you’ve charged it. You can free up memory by turning unused or running applications/programs by clicking on Start -> Settings -> System -> Memory -> Running Programs. Then select the program you want to turn off to conserve battery and free up memory. Happy!!

Hey,
You should try the O2 theme app which puts an icon on today screen with access to running programs instead of going all that way: Start -> Settings -> System -> Memory -> Running Programs
Enjoy
