My uncle works for a construction company. He’s in charge of overseeing construction projects and has to go from site to site every day. Owing to the illegal open air burning carried out by a neighboring country, our air quality hasnt been good these few months. Couple with the fact that construction sites are also a very dusty place, he’s now coughing badly every day.

I think what his company should do is provide all field workers with respirators and dust masks. They can buy those items from All In Safety.com, a company that market a full line of safety, construction and industrial supplies. They are a major direct importer and distributor nationwide, therefore they are able to market so many high quality products at the lowest prices. I feel that companies should be concerned of their worker’s safety and encourage them to use it at all times.

    You’re absolutely right about the company having to provide respirators. I work in a auto body shop and am required to wear one often. The owner buys them all and REQUIRES us to use a breathe safely seal on them. The seal makes them more comfortable and basically makes it like an oxygen mask.. Nothing escapes or gets through the respirator with the seal on it. It really works and is real darn comfortable.
