I received a registered letter from my bank today. I can sense that it must be a very important letter cos they seldom send me else apart from my accounts or credit card statements. But i can tell from the letter that there must a huge sum of money involved. If not, they wont be sending this via registered post, right.
And boy, was i so right. It’s another one of those pre-approved loans. They sent me a cheque with a 5 figure amount. I just need to bank it into my account and i can get the money in less than 3 working days, and the figure will be charged to my credit card together with an interest-free 6 months repayment plan. Of cos, a small handling fee applies should i decide to cash it in.
See how efficient they can be when they want to get us into debt. And i didnt even apply for it. And id you must know, i didnt cash it in cos i have no use for the money. It’s not free, okay. Dont be so happy. And you had better be careful of you are getting yourself into should you receive one of these in your mailbox. Do not ever cash it in unless you seriously need the money. Other banks may have different repayment terms and conditions.
And also, let me tell you one more thing. You wont get to see one of these pre-approved loans unless you have a perfect credit score with the bank. If you need loans and your local bank wont lend you any, all is not lost. You may want to check out thriftyscot.co.uk. They may be able to help if you need to apply for secured loans or personal loans.
