I’m still waiting for the PSP Slimline, or PSP-2000, to hit the shelves. Expected to be sometime around September. Reason being the new PSP PlayStation Portable 1seg TV Tuner is only compatible with with the new PSP slimline. I just hope i can use it here. Wont know till it hits our shores. Kinda depressing isnt it. Not that i mind also cos i dont get to play my current PSP much also. My kid has pwnd it, LOL.
The new PSP will weigh 189g and with 1.8cm thickness. A video-out port has also been added. This will allow gamers to play games and watch UMD movies on a larger screen. The built-in caching ability will also enable the PSP to temporarily store game data from the UMD. This should help to reduce loading times. The new PSP can now also be charged by USB cable through the PS3 or a PC, even while a data transfer is taking place.
Even though no official pricing has been released, it is rumored to be expected to cost around $200 (£98/€145). First batch will come in a choice of either a piano black, white or silver casing. Me, i’d rather wait for the “Bloom” colour series, which includes rose pink, lavender purple and felicia blue. How come no RED??? *sulks*
