I think of all the items that i have bought over the years, the one that i truly treasure would be my digital camera. My first was the Ricoh RDC-7 which i bought way back in 2000, and it has served me well over the years. It was a 3.2Mp camera with a flip rotatable screen. I loved it as i can take beautiful pictures self-portraits with it easily without much guesswork.
It died on me last year on the day i delivered my second son, lol. My second and current digital camera is the Sony Cyber-shot T100, a beautiful 8.1Mp camera. I’m actually not particular about all those pixel counts as i believe a beautiful picture is all about composition. Being able to capture that moment in time is of course the most important factor of all.
I’m now showing my about-to-be 4 year old kid how to take pictures and he enjoys it very much. Being a kid, he will be clumsy and drop things and i cant blame him for that. If everything goes well this month, he’ll be getting his very own digital camera that’s guaranteed to withstand all the drops and falls. Who knows, he mght become a famous photographer one day.
