Do you need BT cordless phones?

We live in a double storey house. As we work from home, our phone doubles as a fax too. We have it installed at the garage which we turned into our office. It’s more convenient that way as we do get one or two visitors per week and we do not want them to have access to our living area. It’s been that way for years.
I seldom go to our office area as it’s a tad too warm for my liking even though it’s air-conditioned. Moreover, i do not want the kids to follow me there lest they turn the place upside down. So, i only go there when i really to like to send a fax of to make a few business calls. I’ve always informed my customers not to call my land-line but to call me on my mobile instead.
But then, sometimes they do forget and it’s a hassle running all the way from the bedroom down to pick the line up. Drives me nuts as i sometimes have to attend to the children. I’ve told hubby that this isnt working and that we have to get ourselves two BT cordless phones to save me from up and down like a crazy woman, lol. I can place one upstairs in the bedroom and another downstairs at the kitchen. Isnt that a good idea?
