Be careful when you buy show units

My friend bought a house last year. They just got their cf and can move in next month. It was a show unit, that came with home furniture and some electrical appliances. But when they went to check on their house last week, they found that all the furniture are worn out and very dirty. They spoke with the developer but they refused to change it for them. Told them that’s what they paid for.
That so unfair. My friend now wants to sue them. I hope she wins the case. Gee…. i hope anyone reading this had better know what they are getting into before paying the downpayment for a show unit. It may look appealing during the launch date. But, you have to understand that you’ll only be able to get your house keys after about 18 to 24 months.
By then, all the furniture will be old and dirty from so many people viewing and some may even sit on it. Moreover, you may have to foot out more money to replace defective ones. I’m so not going to pay for a show unit which requires that i pay for their furniture too. I prefer to buy my own.
