I was at MBF today to make my monthly credit card repayment. A man was enquiring on their Balance Transfer program whereby if you were to transfer a minimum of Rm5000, and maintain a monthly balance of at least Rm4500 per month for consequtively 12months, you’ll get a Sharp 29″ flatscreen tv set for free.

He was asking a zillion question on WHY he must maintain the balance for 12 months. Dude… that’s so that you are actually paying for the television set. Since when are there freebies in this world. And also as far as credit cards are concerned, lol. At 1.5% per month, for a 12 month period, you’ll be paying at least Rm810 in interest alone to them. For that amount, you might as well go buy one from the electrical shop………… geeeeeze.
