My sis requires information about home improvement loans as my nephew is coming back to live with her and she want to carry out some extension work to her house. She also asked me for my opinion on remortgages. Well, with interest rates at the lowest level in many years, she can actually consider remortgage loans as a way to save on monthly payments. Her home has risen in value these few years, so it might be worth considering a remortgage loan.

Otherwise, she may want to check out other loan options like secured loans. This is the kind of loans with the security of your home tied to it. But it also means that you could lose your home if you default on your payments. I dont think she needs a secured loan at this moment. I think all she needs is just a home improvement loan at this moment, that’s it.
