My friend bought a timeshare program recently and regretted making the purchase. She thought she made a great vacation package deal only to find out later that she wont be visiting most of the places. She decided to sell it off only to find that it was not an investment as touted by the saleman. She lost a great deal of money when she sold it later.

This goes to show that some things like timeshares are just better when bought second-hand. The investment risk is way lower and definitely cost less. Dont get sweet-talked into buying timeshares unless you can afford it.
