Slide widget slows down site loading

I’ve got to be honest with this one. I noticed that many mommy bloggers writing paid posts run slide widgets of their family and kids on one corner of their blogs. I get put off when i have to wait for the whole thing to load. And really, it takes ages. Especially when you have about 20 to 30 pics running on the slide.

Moreover, the page hangs most of the time. Although i make it a point to load the site on a different tab, it’s still difficult navigating away from it. No choice but to close the tab. So, most of time, i hardly visit those sites anymore. Maybe it’s time those mommy bloggers consider removing those slides or reduce the number of photos they have running there.
