Canon cameras price drop

I’ve been eyeing the Canon 850is for quite a while as it has a 28mm wide angle lens apart from the Panasonic models. I dont really fancy those Kodak dual lens 23mm ultra wide angle ones. As per my last visit to the camera shop yesterday, i’ve seen a Rm200 price drop to Rm1499 from my previous visit sometime just before Chinese New Year.

This new pricing indicates that a new model is soon to hit the stores. New compact digital cameras are usually about Rm100 to Rm200 short of the 2k mark. I’m waiting for the latest 2007 batch of new cameras to see what’s in store for me. Hopefully more wide angle models with more zoom and better image qualities and video capabilities. Not more pixels, please.
