We bought a fax machine yesterday. The person who sold us the machine cannot even differentiate between thermal paper and plain paper. And told us that it’s the same. IT IS NOT! Thermal paper or commonly known as fax paper usually comes in a roll. The thing about thermal paper is that you’ll need to reprint the fax if you want to file it away as the toner will fade after a while.

Whereby, if you were to use a plain paper fax, well, the name already says it all. It prints directly onto your using A4 (or whatever size you want) without the need to photostat a copy. Hence, more savings in the long run. But of course, these are more expensive. If i do not know the difference myself, i would have just walked away from the shop as the salesman doesnt know his product and was talking nonsense, saying they’re both actually the same except for branding and pricing.

I wasnt feeling very well, but i knew what i wanted to buy. So, i just picked the model i want, paid, and left the shop. On other days, he would have gotten a piece of my organic mind from me for wasting my time.
