My handphone’s battery conked out for reasons known only to the phone last night. So, when i turned it on this morning…. wahlau eh, 25 missed calls. Since my last handphone re-format, most of the numbers were not keyed in. Aiya, who has the mood to go key in more than 300 numbers. Dont know when it’ll “hang” again. Damn sien.

Thank god also, the phone’s not on. If not, i would have screamed should i pick it up. My guess is that those are most likely newbies calling me up asking me to do balance transfer on my credit cards. Sometimes, having a large open line of credit also brings lots of headache. Couple that with the fact i have lots of cards…. think double digits. And it’s the beginning of the month, when most of them are working hard to hit their sales target for the month.

I was so right. The call’s from Stan Chart. My regular guy will know better than to call at 9am as i’m not up at that ungodly hour. But sometimes, i give chance to these newbies also. That’s to build rapport. And i was right again. Another call came in at about 12pm, requesting exactly that. So, i asked him to fax over the details. According to him, I can transfer up to 8k at 5.99% p/a for a 6mth duration. And that’s less than 0.5%/mth. Usual interest rate is 1.5%/mth.

No problem lah. The only thing now is i have to go through my credit card bills and see what i can conjure up for him. And i really hate it everytime when they fax the contract over for me to sign. 4 darn pages long. What a waste of fax paper…
