Money from PPP

Yes, the first batch is cashed out and it’s now safely in my account. A cool RM1600+. And of course, more to come when i make my fortnightly withdrawal. Now, of course, many would go shopping with this money. I’m not ashamed to say i’m also thinking the same. But sensible me have other plans. All these will be put in a newly setup account for future investments. These will go towards my kids education fund.
For those with out-standing credit card bills, it’s a good idea to use the money to settle the amount in full if possible. At 18% per annum, that’s a hell lot of interest to pay if your out-standing balance is high. It’s a smart idea to have a few cards. Look out for good balance transfer options. A little savings goes a long way. The best is to go for long-term repayment like 18 - 24 months at a fixed rate if the amount to transfer is high. That way, you can be sure that once after the repayment period is over, you’re free from debt.
